Quality assurance in Horizon Europe projects and beyond

Good quality is an important factor when it comes to the success of your Horizon Europe project. To ensure high quality of your project later on you already need to follow quality requirements of your research field and throughout the grant application. At accelopment, we strive to excel in quality already at our company level and are ISO 9001 certified for an excellent Quality Management System.

Level 1 – Professional quality management to implement your project

To ensure high quality of your project, it presupposes good planning and requires professional quality management throughout. Thanks to our long-standing experience in FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects, accelopment has been developing and improving project management tools and procedures tailored to research projects for many years. We have recently updated these tools to the latest rules and standards of Horizon Europe. We are ready to support you in your role as a coordinator and the consortium in setting up a functional governing structure and communication, monitoring risks, preparing and submitting reports and deliverables in a timely manner, and reaching your milestones.

Level 2 – Adherence to scientific quality requirements specific to the field of research

Each field of research comes with distinct quality aspects. For example, in health-related projects it is important to adhere to protocols and have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place, to ensure that a clinical study is conducted identically at every site and make data comparable. Your project must be planned accordingly, and good and regular communication and monitoring is key to ensure high quality.

Level 3 – Operational quality assurance procedures at participant level

Whether you are a research group at a university, a research institute or company, you have standards and policies in place that you adhere to. Good quality management at the participant level will facilitate not only your daily work and internal procedures, but the reliable realization of your tasks within the project. To ensure professional quality management at accelopment, we adhere to the ISO 9001:2015 standard for a Quality Management System and are re-certified each year through an external audit by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS).
