Transferable Skills Training Programme

Shaping the future of early-career researchers

Whether continuing with research in academia or industry or transitioning to new roles, acquiring a set of transferable skills is ever more crucial for early-career researchers (ECRs). Delivering training in transferable skills is also a highlight of our long-standing experience as partners in MSCA networks, alongside our management support and outreach activities. It is from this experience and our passion for sharing knowledge that this training programme is born. We enjoy the dynamic atmosphere that is created when working with ECRs, which inspires us to deliver interactive training journeys that will guide them in developing well-rounded skill sets. Our Transferable Skills Training Programme supports ECRs in building competitive skill sets for their current and future projects, preparing them to take the next career steps with confidence.

Six modules in three sets, covering a typical ECR project timeline

Discover our latest training modules, designed for ECRs in ongoing Innovative Training Networks (ITNs), Doctoral Networks (DNs) and COFUND projects that are part of the MSCA. Consisting of interactive online lectures, quizzes, brainstorming activities as well as individual and group exercises, each module is customised to the participants’ research topic and can be offered to ECRs from a single project or from several networks.

Six modules are offered: Research project management, data management, science communication, gender in rsearch, funding opportunities and grant writing.
