Last Horizon 2020 Health call results expected soon

19th October 2020 at 7:05 pm

While the results for the “Digital transformation in Health and Care (DTH)” calls were communicated last week, we expect to receive the results of the last series of Health calls in the coming days or weeks, the latest on the 4 November 2020. Most remaining calls are from the sub-category “Better Health and care (BHC)”.

A total of 461 proposals were submitted before the calls` deadline on 4 June 2020. Notably the results of the SC1-BHC-06-2020 call on digital diagnostics are eagerly awaited by many applicants with only three of the 158 submissions expected to be funded.

The table below summarises the call statistics and the chances of success based on the call budgets published on the EU`s Funding & Tenders portal. However, some of these budgets might be increased slightly and will be known once the projects, which have been selected for funding, are notified.

Health calls in Horizon Europe

These were the last Health-related calls in Horizon 2020. The successor programme called “Horizon Europe”, the 9th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation will have a dedicated cluster for Health with a particular focus on digital health, infectious diseases and healthy environment.

The final Health cluster work programme for 2021 and 2022 will be published within the coming months and may include interesting opportunities for those consortia that have not been successful this time, but wishing to adapt and resubmit their Horizon 2020 proposals under one of the upcoming Horizon Europe Health calls.

We look forward to help you identify the right call through our Strategic Grant Planning (SGP) service and later also with the proposal preparation according to the new Horizon Europe rules.

Health projects and accelopment

We are currently involved in four ongoing Health projects in Horizon 2020: VANGUARD, EXIMIOUS and EURO SHOCK (all Research and Innovation Actions) and the recently approved COVID-19 focused Innovation Action ENVISION that is set to kick off on 1 December 2020.

Thanks to our expertise in more than 50 FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects, we assist Coordinators with administration and management tasks and support the dissemination and exploitation of projects` results.
