The aim of this innovative project is to develop an air conditioning system based on a novel energy recuperation for premium automobiles, reducing energy consumption by up to 35%.
In addition to the previous function of using a rainwater separator, the development of an air conditioning system for premium cars which will be based on a novel energy recuperation of used cabin air, should also result in a significant increase in air conditioner energy efficiency. To this end, the theoretical framework of energy ratios will be acquired by conducting various simulations and tests. Pre-existing concepts in regard to energy conservation will be further developed and optimised. The targeted goal of this project is to develop at least one prototype that is not only customer-ready and close to serial production but also reduces the air conditioner’s energy consumption by at least 35% compared to a present-day passenger car.
