Upcoming (2020) Transport Calls in Horizon 2020
7th August 2019 at 2:09 pm
The European Commission’s (EC) overreaching goal in Transport is to create a system that is “resilient, resource-efficient, climate- and environmentally-friendly, safe and seamless for the benefit of all citizens, the economy and society”. The Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020 for Smart, green and integrated transport has taken into account and implemented aspects from earlier Work Programmes which were considered positive such as an emphasis on innovation and demonstration activities as well as a better overall coherence.
For 2020, there is still a total of €403 million funding available for Transport across 27 call topics. Six of these are 2-stage topics with deadlines in early January for the short proposal and September for the full proposal and 21 are 1-stage call topics with a single deadline in April. The budget is broken down into three Calls for proposals, alongside other actions which complement the content of the Calls:
- € 191 million for Mobility for Growth
- Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: Low-carbon and sustainable transport
- Safe, integrated and resilient transport systems
- Global leadership and competitiveness
- Accounting for the people
- € 50 million for Digitising and transforming European industry and services: Automated Road Transport
- € 55 million for Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: Green Vehicles
- € 107 million for other actions
Meet accelopment at the Horizon 2020 Transport Info Day
On 7 October, 2019 from 09:30 to 15:00 CET the Horizon 2020 Transport Info Day will be taking place in Brussels. In attendance will be Dr Jeanette Müller, CEO of accelopment. Jeanette has over 20 years of experience in the acquisition and management of publicly funded projects and has specialised in R&D and innovation projects and is happy to meet you during the Info Day to discuss you prospective project ideas.
The Transport Info Day offers an excellent opportunity for networking as well the chance to gain vital knowledge on the Work Programme before the upcoming deadlines. The event will also be livestreamed but we highly recommend anyone looking to complete their consortium to attend in person and join the brokerage event following the info day. Sign up for the Transport Info Day using this link.
Have you already registered for the info day and wish to speak to Dr Müller in person? Contact us via our website or give us a call and let us know!
Upcoming deadlines in the ‘Smart, green and integrated transport’ Work Programme 2018-2020
