Dr. Johannes Ripperger



Research & Innovation Manager

At accelopment Switzerland, Johannes is responsible for managing several EU projects, especially in the research and innovation areas of energy, environment, materials and manufacturing. With more than 12 years of experience as a research manager and grant writer in the private sector, he has successfully supported researchers and enterprises in acquiring and managing national and EU research funding, such as for FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and Eurostars funding programmes. Johannes holds an MSc in Geophysics (LMU Munich, DE) and earned a PhD in the field of numerical modelling of earthquake physics (ETH Zurich, CH). Additionally, he has contributed as an independent expert for the European Commission, serving as a “Rapporteur” in 2021 and an “Evaluator” in 2024 during proposal evaluations.
