Eurostars calls now open: Check your eligibility for the February cut-off deadline
21st December 2020 at 3:14 pm
As announced in our previous blog post, EUREKA has launched the new Eurostars cut-off with a deadline on 4 February 2021. This Eurostars cut-off is the first deadline targeted to innovative Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in 2021.
Eurostars supports product-driven and market-oriented R&D projects led by SMEs and in collaboration with one or more partners from Eurostars countries that are co-funding this programme. The funding, all non-repayable subsidies, is provided by national funding agencies in the different Eurostars countries according to the local financing rules. It is therefore important to check whether the country of your residence is eligible for funding.
There are many good reasons to apply for a Eurostars grant. For example, the success rates (29%) are higher than in the popular EIC accelerator (< 5%), a Horizon 2020 instrument, and project consortia are smaller than in most other funding schemes.
As time-to-market is important to many Eurostars applicants, it`s worth noting that successful applications, submitted in the February cut-off, would allow projects to start in summer/autumn 2021.
